ABOUT THE ARTIST

MK hand-painted silk scarves

Painting on silk is an artistic medium which is displayed as translucent window décor or wardrobe-enhancing wearable art.
A special characteristic of this medium is that the brilliant, water-based, non-toxic paints are absorbed by the fabric and dry soft to the touch. Silk scarves are fade resistant. Each scarf is washable (cold hand wash).

Marion Knoll creates unique art pieces by custom order to reflect each person’s style. Some original pieces, already made, are available at "Creative Connections", Main St., Ashburnham, MA.

Marion Knoll is a member of the Gardner Area League of Artists. A native of Germany, she makes her home in Gardner, Massachusetts with her husband and three children. She teaches an after-school art enrichment program and is the newsletter editor of the Hubbardston Garden Club.
